KP graduated from North Carolina State University in May of 2018 with a bachelor’s degree in Natural Resources and a minor in Geology. While there, she researched the Blue Ridge goldenrod, a critically endangered species that only grows on the granitic cliffs of Roan and Grandfather Mountains. Prior to this, she interned at the Mecklenburg Natural Resources Department and helped with a decennial tree survey. While in school, she also studied abroad for six months in Lancaster, England, and was able to travel to thirteen countries while there. Since graduating, she has worked as a GIS technician for PrecisionHawk, located in Raleigh.
