Trinity Center's New Wellness Program

Relax and experience healing ways in an idyllic Barrier Island setting.
Join in classes to explore the subject of total health.
Discover new ways to take care of yourself physically, mentally and spiritually.
Classes during this four day program include:
Health Care As health care providers become increasingly impersonal, learn how to become an active participant in your own health care. Community health care experts will lead sessions on heart health and stress management. Participate in a confidential evaluation of your body composition, flexibility, strength and cardiovascular health.
Exercise Discover new vitality, reduce stress, and promote muscle flexibility during an introductory class on T'ai Chi. Learn how stretching your body with non-strenuous movement can improve your sense of well-being.
Wellness Profile Health Care Experts will evaluate your flexibility, strength, body composition, and cardiovascular health. Complete with confidential explanation of the results, this profile is designed to help you evaluate your current lifestyle, identify health risks and decide where and how to make improvements.
Mental Relaxation Combine sitting, writing, and walking meditations to create a circle of quiet which will help renew your appreciation for life. Learn to build a practice of mindfulness that will help you stop, look, and listen to what your life is trying to tell you.
Physical Relaxation Learn about the benefits of massage for relaxation and physical health. Enjoy a delicious 10 minute massage to enhance your state of wellness!
Spiritual Journey Uncover what is possible in life's spiritual journey as you explore your connectedness both to your God and to others. In a non-denominational setting, apply what you have learned about physical and mental well-being to your own inner life as you continue to walk your spiritual path.
Relax and Retreat
Trinity Center has been a place for people to come for refreshment and retreat since its doors first opened in 1986. The maritime paths, the benches by the lagoon, the porch rockers all invite guests to sit, relax, and enjoy the stillness.
The beautiful surroundings and quiet atmosphere at Trinity offers an excellent place for prayer, meditation and reflection, where one may be joined by stalking egrets, and soaring herons, who offer companionship in the stillness of the salt marsh, maritime forest and beach.
Occasionally, the silence may be broken by the loud squawk of the laughing gulls in the adjacent waters, but this disturbance is a gentle one, placing one in the natural order of things as participant.
