Using Digital Photography to Capture North Carolina's Dynamic Coast

Back to Program List

Explore the beauty of North Carolina's barrier island environment as you learn the skills and techniques of digital photography. Expert workshops and hands-on demonstrations led by a photography instructor introduce all the options of your digital camera, as well as cover the basics of composition, presentation and digital manipulation. After learning your camera inside and out, take your knowledge into the field to capture the natural and historic landscape. Test your skill during photo shoots on the beach and at Fort Macon, a Civil War fort built from 1826-1834 and listed on the National Register of Historic Places. Show off your favorite shots for critique and feedback from a noted professional photographer and photography instructor
