Camp Trinity
Camp Trinity is a summer program sponsored by the
Episcopal Diocese of East Carolina to serve the 74 parishes
of the diocese. Camp Trinity is proud to be accredited by the American
Camping Association. Developed exclusively for the camp
industry, this nationally recognized association focuses on
program quality and health and safety issues, and requires
camp to regularly submit every facet of its operation to an
independent appraisal by camp experts.
Camp Trinity offers young people (grades 3-12) an
opportunity to experience camping in an enjoyable and
beautiful setting along Bogue Sound and the Atlantic Ocean.
Campers share in a Christian program that helps them grow
spiritually and emotionally and provides them opportunities to
develop new interests, skills, and friendships.
The camping program is administered by an experienced staff,
with a ratio of one staff person to every four campers. The
summer staff consists of trained counselors who are
responsible for the care and nurturing of campers in their
cabin life and camp activities; program staff who plan and
implement the recreational program activities for campers; a
certified staff of lifeguards and instructors who oversee the
swimming and boating programs; and a nurse who cares for
the medical needs of the campers.
In 2007, 640 campers were involved in the summer
program. For further information about the program, please
call the Camp Registrar at Trinity Center
(1-888-874-6287) or by e-mail Camp Registrar.

Camp Facility and Island Setting
Four dormitories, two cabins per dorm, house all
eighty campers each session. Each cabin houses ten
campers and one counselor.
Many different water areas mark Camp Trinity.
Campers use the sound for sailing, canoeing, and
marshing. They use the pool for swimming lessons,
free swim, and water carnival. They use the beach for
swimming, sand castle building, games, and
beachwalks.
Other program facilites include a covered recreation
building, an outdoor recreation field, a challenge
course, an assembly building, and an open pavilion on
the ocean side of the property.
Sanders Point is an outdoor chapel overlooking the
marsh waters of Bogue Sound. Many worship
services are held at the chapel.
